Acting for GDF Suez (main sponsor) in relation to a ZAR9.7bn financing of two peaking power plants in South Africa of 1005 MW capacity. Acting for Grupo FerroAtlántia S.A.U. and its South African subsidiaries in the raising of approximately ZAR200m acquisition financing and refinancing of existing facility of ZAR565m. Acting for Kalagadi Manganese Proprietary Limited (as borrower) on a ZAR1.05bn bridging loan facility and EUR150m term loan facility. Advising Nedbank Limited on its acquisition of an equity stake of up to 20% in Ecobank Transnational Limited through US$285m convertible loan.
