Hettie Germishuis

Hettie was born on 2 June 1969 and attended Hoërskool Punt in Mossel Bay where she matriculated in the year 1987. Thereafter she enrolled at the University of Port Elizabeth and obtained her B.Juris degree in 1991. She worked for Attorneys Fiveash & Cloete in Central before she moved to Somerset West in 1998. She was employed as practice manager for Drs Joubert and De Villiers in Somerset West and worked for them for a period of 15 years, where she gained valuable experience to be utilised and applied in MVA and Medico Legal malpractice matters. In 2009 she decided to enrol at UNISA to obtain her LL.B degree. She studied part time and obtained her LL.B in 2012, despite a heavy workload. She attended the School for Legal Practice in 2013 and obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice in that same year. In 2014 she moved back to the Eastern Cape and started her articles at Bowes, McDougall Inc. in October 2014. Hettie was admitted as an Attorney on the 1st of March 2016 and holds the position of Professional Assistant at BMC Inc. She is involved in our , Department and also deals with family matters. She was recently elected as Vice-Chairperson of the Child Welfare Society of Central.
