She is an admitted Attorney and has a right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa. She obtained B.Iuris and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria where she was awarded the Professor EM Hamman Floating Trophy for the best student in Transnational Business law. This covered commercial law, maritime law and mercantile law. She also has a Post-graduate diploma in Transport Management from the Rand Afrikaans University (now University of Johannesburg) where she specialised in aviation and freight transport studies. She also has a certificate in International Air, Space & Telecommunications Law from the University of Pretoria. Before joining the firm, Ms Ramaano had practiced with, amongst others, De Vries Inc Attorneys and Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs Inc Attorneys. She has extensive experience in civil and Criminal Law litigation, competition law, merger fillings, and analysis of the competitive effect of the mergers in terms of the Competition Act. She has worked as a law lecturer at the University of Johannesburg and has experience in Labour Law / CCMA advisory, research and representation. Her other experiences include but not limited to conducting research, drafting of legal opinions, and legal advisory. She also has keen interest in aviation, maritime law and legal developments in law of sea generally.
