Laverne Portellas is an experienced attorney, notary public, and conveyancer with right of appearance in the Western Cape High Court. With over 10 years of legal experience, she brings a practical, engaging, and empathetic approach to meeting her clients’ unique needs.
Laverne holds a Bachelor of Arts (English) degree, a Bachelor of Laws degree, and a Master of Laws in Human Rights Law from the University of Cape Town. She began her legal career in general litigation, focusing particularly on family law, before transitioning into construction and engineering law over the past three years. Her broad experience across various legal fields allows Laverne to offer skilled advocacy as a general practitioner, as well as specialized services as a conveyancer and notary public.
Outside of her legal practice, Laverne enjoys reading, baking, and spending quality time with her husband and their two young children.
