Robert Botha is a consultant in our Johannesburg , sector. Representative experience: Appointed to spearhead the Kumba Iron Ore team that successfully defended its , rights in the , Court against third parties. Headed the legal negotiation team in the retrenchment of 14000 employees at Anglo American Platinum Limited, resulting in saving 7000 jobs and no forced retrenchments. Managed and successfully defended a “military style” strike at South Africa’s biggest iron ore mine where 90% of the mine’s heavy vehicle machinery was hijacked. Successfully assisted an International Lawlegal team in an International Law, relating to the protection of interest in , rights in Africa before the ICC. Assisted a multi-disciplinary team from South Africa and Hong Kong focusing on streamlining the , and supply of commodities from South Africa to China.
