Mervyn Vermeulen earned his LLB degree from the University of South Africa (Unisa) in 2010. He began his articles of clerkship in 2011 and was admitted as an Attorney by the North Gauteng High Court on 23 April 2013. On 3 May 2013, he was granted the Right of Appearance in Court under the Right of Appearance in Courts Act 62 of 1995, allowing him to appear in the High Court. Since then, he has regularly appeared in Gauteng’s High Courts.
In early 2014, Mervyn established Vermeulen Attorneys in Roodepoort, where he continues to practice as the firm’s director. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience litigating in various forums, including the High Court, Magistrate’s Court, Labour Court, and CCMA.
