Willem Burger obtained the degrees BA LLB LLM from the University of Stellenbosch and during his final years of study was employed as junior lecturer (Private Law) at the University of Stellenbosch, lecturer (Labour Law / CCMA) at the University of the Western Cape and Labour Consultant with Deon Jordaan & Associates (Strand). He was admitted as Attorney of the High Court of South Africa on 5 May 2001 and as Conveyancer on 12 December 2003.
